Mooro on American TV in 1963
Just chanced upon this, dunno if it's widely known. He's on from about the 21 minute mark

Fascinating link

He always seemed to present himself so well, a true gent and footballing hero since I was a nipper

This is an excellent link. Thanks for posting it. I’m a bit surprised with the YouTube algorithm though. I watch old episodes of this show as well as others on YouTube and watch a fair bit of West Ham, never had this up on my feed though

If you search on You Tube there is a two parter which has England v Germany 1966 re-match. I think it was for the Bradford Fire appeal and as far as I can remember England's entire original 11 played and Moore and Hurts were still quality.

Anyone remember when bonzo got an mbe and there was an article about him on American TV news? I used to have the whole thing recorded from TV at the time but it got lost (and I'm tech savvy enough to not need a video recorder these days).

I know a shortened version exists on an old official West ham vhs somewhere. It'd be nice to see it again via the wonders of the Internet.

As it was probably recorded in the evening, he had played earlier that day (june 23, 1963) for West Ham against Valeciennes at Randalls Stadium in New York as part of the International Soccer League. (we won 3-1 btw).

Interesting footage. Mooro looks ready for a new season - I think he’d link up well with Cresswell and Dawson
